Inflammatory mediators and inflammatory cells as reliable molecular targets for assessment of wound age and vitality in rats

Evaluation of the wound age and vitality is a persistent problem for forensic examinations to determine when injuries occurred whether during antemortem or post-mortem period. This study aimed use inflammatory cells mediators as target marker in samples rats. Wound skin (n=39) were collected from groups aged 30, 60, 180, 360 min within same periods with control (unwounded group). Immunohistochemical staining examined all tissue two cell markers (CD15, CD68) 2 (IL-6, TNF-α). The results showed that CD15-positive neutrophils expressed time intervals antemortem, expression gradually increased 30 min. CD68-positive macrophages began at minutes reached highest level wound. Because negative CD15 CD68 groups, they could be comparing vital non-vital wounds. Furthermore, Immunoreactivity IL-6 TNF-α negatively unwounded samples. In addition, after induced produced rise area both this study, expressions low areas far margin, specimens, CD15, CD68, IL-6, may valuable assessing vitality.
